My wishlists are becoming harder to narrow down to just a few pieces.. I want way too much! I love this time of year when the Autumn-Winter stock is just starting to be released. Don't get me wrong, I love Summer and how lately, in the midst of a heat wave, I can wear my adored cut off's and sandals and Crochet dresses, but I always love Autumn and the arrival AW collections. There are so many AW pieces I want but for now I am still lusting after some Summer pieces as it is a July Wishlist afterall. But, having said that, I love my boots and have been searching with eager anticipation for some black western style boots for this Autumn. I fell madly in love lust with a gorgeous pair of black western, low heel ankle boots with metal cut-out toe detail. They were amazing, and sadly they will only be a wish for me as they are from a collaborative collection by Pamela Love for Nine West.. in 2012! And so my search resumed (it's a very serious matter) and I found the above ones on Nasty Gal, I love the silver detail.

 

I have wanted a Casio digital watch for years but never got around to get one and it always went out of my head again. I love my Michael Kors and Fossil watches which are gold and rose gold boyfriend style watches but I like how the Casio style ones are very different and not many people have them. I found this Casio style version from River Island, it's a perfect size too.

 

How beautiful is this Lucy Tempest for Asos Dress? I adore tshirt dresses, I know they aren't very flattering or anything but I love that style and am so comfortable in this style. I also love sequins but am so fussy, there is a fine line between tacky and elegant when it comes to sequins and these are perfect. This one is actually sold out at the moment but the link above will link you to a beautiful navy version which has just been released. Navy sequins are perfect for AW'13.

 

These mint green sandals by Pieces are so beautiful, I really love them. I really wanted a pair of this style, really simple with a thick strap across the toes and a thick ankle strap and love this retro colour. They're so cute. I love the selection of round sunglasses Topshop has this season and really like the brow bar detail and these particular ones. Also from Topshop, this huge drape collar necklace is definitely a wishlist must-have. I'd wear it over a white tshirt and black jeans for day time and update my LBD's with it for nights out.

I wore this simple outfit on a sunny day in town whilst doing a bit of shopping and enjoying lunch in the sun. Denim cut-off shorts are one of my favourite things to wear. I love wearing them, they are so effortless and versatile. I picked up a SS'13 edition to add to my collection in River Island a couple of weeks back. You may have seen them posted on my FACEBOOK page where I post many purchases or lusting-after-but-can't-afford items. As I previously posted, I attended River Island's AW'13 Press Day earlier in the month and I got to go on a little spree in River Island thanks to the amazing press team in Dublin. I picked up these distressed dark denim cut-offs and these aviator sunglasses and couldn't wait to wear them. I also picked up really cool Jack Daniels which I love (see it and find the link on my Facebook page).

 

I have a penchant for boots, ankle boots especially, and love wearing them even in the Summer. I love to grunge up daytime shorts or dresses with ankle boots. I purchased these from Zara months ago and have worn them a few times but I think the colour suits the Summer months, and Summer outfits, perfectly. I adore the style of these boots. They also came in black and grey last year and I am really hoping Zara will release similar styles for AW'13.

 

The fedora was perfect to shade me from the sun and I pulled out this suede tassel bag I have had for years to complete the look. I like the festival-style to this bag and it's so comfortable to wear, perfect for strolling around town. Turquoise accessories are another favourite of mine and this statement necklace really brightened up the outfit.

We are in the midst of a heat wave here in Ireland and I got to wear my new favourite Cupro shorts from Topshop. I love the sports luxe trend and these shorts are perfect. I love the sporty style, the material and the colour. Grey is one of my favourite colours and it's so easy to wear. These shorts will be perfect for nights out also, especially with nude or blush tones. I love them now but I must say I was initially a little bit disappointed when I received them (I ordered them online). The shape of them means the front material is just flapped over the back, thus you can literally lift the front material up, or rather the wind could blow it up. Not something you want to happen of course. But I did really love them and hated the thought of returning them so I simply sewed the two pieces of material together. It took two seconds and worked perfectly so I would still highly recommend them.

 

White bags are really on trend at the moment and I really wanted a large white clutch. I had a white clutch from Zara on my June Wishlist (along with the shorts) but I never purchased it as it was €60 and as it's white it would only get scuffed and be impossible to keep clean. So I was very happy to find this one from Penneys for €12. I always go for better quality (thus more expensive) pieces but sometimes Penneys is your best option. I have posted these trainers before in my White Luxe post a couple of weeks ago and I know I'll be posting them again, I love the sports luxe look they give to an outfit.

It is now sold out from the website (however there are many similar styles). Summer Moodboard

 

 

I hope you all are enjoying the sunshine. I'm going out enjoying the sun but for now here is a moodboard I created with some Summer inspiration shots. All photographs are courtesy of various website with the exception of the first picture (top left), which is my own. It's my favourite photograph and it reminds me of a perfect day.

River Island AW'13 Press Day

Last Tuesday I had the pleasure of attending River Island's AW'13 Press Day in Dublin. The amazing press team ensured everyone had a great day fulfilled with great banter, Chinese food and of course, one heck of a collection.

 

With heavy embellishment in luxe creams or midnight blacks, coloured leathers, and excessive jewellery to rival Mr. T, River Island's AW'13 collection has some amazing pieces to update your Winter wardrobe with.
