This season check remains as a key trend but evolves anew with the revival of the retro-esque Gingham print. The checkerboard print has been around for some time but has become far more high-fashion since the days of Bridgette Bardot and Cher Horwitz. The Gingham pattern has a slightly more mature aesthetic than check or tartan.

This season, the print has a whole new colour palette, look out for pastel hues for the check trend with a SS’14 twist and chic monochrome.
