I have always had a thing for varsity jackets - the vintage, ‘jock’ style ones rather than the (sort of tacky) bomber styles which assumed the high-street last year. The whole varsity trend went into overdrive for some time  and to be honest, it made me want to steer clear of it. But, now that it has subsided, I have found myself falling back in love with the retro-esque varsity jacket. Primark has certainly  hit the nail on the sartorial head with this one - the leather look sleeves and grey tone make it look like I’ve snatched it right off a 50’s high school jock, just the look I was going for! Saturday was the first time I wore these grey ankle boots from Topshop, and I was literally giddy putting them on - I think I spent half of the day admiring them! They’re sold out online but they are available in black here. I also picked up the black pair, I just really love the unusual shape (I’m trying to justify my spend to myself). Black ripped jeans have become my uniform and I make no apologies. I especially love this washed style from River Island, they’re also super tight yet comfortable, the sometimes unusual pairing that makes jeans a winner.
