(n.) a strong desire to travel.

While I have continually expressed my desire for fashion and beauty through Penny and Polaroids, I have not yet written about my desire to travel. I adore travelling; I love visiting new cities, exploring new places and even discovering places on Pinterest or reading about a foreign city and culture. I love hotels, airports, architecture, nature, discovering a new cuisine, road trips, anything and everything to do with travelling. The idea of taking off and travelling the world is a dream many of us have but it’s not a dream that is  easily executed. A goal of mine for 2015 is to travel more. And I don’t just mean on holidays. Travelling for me isn’t just about visiting a new country, it’s about wandering into adventures and pastures new. There are so many towns and villages in Ireland I’ve never been to and would love to discover and explore. I am so excited to launch a brand new travel feature to my little corner of the internet entitled ‘Wanderlust’.

While I may not be jetting off on a world trip anytime soon, I do intend on visiting many different places in the future and ‘Wanderlust’ will archive these journeys, for both me and you, my readers. I will feature locations both abroad and within Ireland as I want to explore weekend breaks in Ireland and also give an insight into travelling in Ireland to my international readers. To begin, I will be focussing on luxury travel and spa break across Ireland. There is nothing as indulgent as a weekend away in a luxurious hotel to enjoy an afternoon in the spa, a beautiful evening meal and an indulgent breakfast in an amazing bed! It’s the ultimate treat we all deserve from time to time. The fact of the matter is, unless you’re making a whole lot of money, most of us wouldn’t have the luxury of staying in a 5* hotel while on a weeks holiday abroad, but staying for a night or two without having the cost of flights is doable, and so worth it!

Next month I’ll be visiting the esteemed Radisson BLU Farnham Estate Spa Resort in County Cavan which is renowned for being one of the most amazing hotel and spa resorts in Ireland. I’ll be documenting my stay on my Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts for you all to see and writing a detailed review of my stay on here for you all to read and refer back to in the future. The following month I’ll be visiting the 5* Star Philip Treacy designed hotel, The g Hotel in Galway and their ESPA at the g Spa.
