Since January I am officially a full-time blogger. With the exception of some freelance writing, which I love and hope to do more of, I’m now able to devote all my time to my little corner of the internet. This is such an exciting time for me. I always had so many ideas, so many things I wanted to do that I just never seemed to have the time to while I was both working and blogging. However, to be honest, I feel like I haven’t yet taken full advantage of this. I have been planning and working on developing future projects and ideas quite a lot but I feel like I’ve been talking about doing rather than actually doing. Essentially, I’ve been procrastinating. I’m sure some of you can relate to this? So rather than filling my notebooks with ideas for articles, I’m going to start filling this website with actual articles. I’m going to start writing more and not just about what I’m wearing but also letting you all in on a little more and sharing some of my thoughts, opinions and lessons with you all. Is this something you would like more of?
This month is quite busy with events and freelance work which is all very exciting but I’m going to make sure I organise my time a little better and really focus on my work / life balance. Since becoming a full-time blogger I’ve lost sight of other areas of my life which I also need to take care of. I spent the weekend before last with my sister, my boyfriend and our group of friends and last weekend I took an entire day out to just sit and talk (and eat and drink a whole lot of coffee) with another very good friend and I really reminded myself of the important things in life. I also reminded myself how a day with good company can be all you need sometimes. I genuinely love working and while striving to reach goal after goal will always be really important to me, I do need to realise that I need to give work 100% while I’m doing it (and not get distracted by Instagram) and then give spending time with friends 100% while I’m off. For example, I keep saying I’ll read more but then I don’t find the time. That’s crazy, I do have the time I just haven’t organised my time well enough and then I’ve still work to do when I should be off. I really don’t feel like I have established this balance yet but I’m working towards it. It really is the little things in life that mean the most and we must not forget them.
I have always kept Penny and Polaroids quite impersonal but to be completely honest, after reading blogs for so long, I love to hear about a bloggers life in more depth. I love to hear how their internship went, what their workout regime is, about their work, and so on. I also love how all of a sudden Snapchat has become huge with bloggers and how interesting it is to get a snapshot into the lives of people who you practically stalk on Instagram! To be honest, I sometimes forget that it’s not just my friends who read this little blog of mine and maybe, just maybe, one or two of you would like to know little more about my life and not just my wardrobe.
You’ll find me on Snapchat @nualsg and on Instagram @nualagorham.

I know what you mean about taking a little break from your phone and spending time with the people you’re with - real time!
Looking forward to following your new style of posts

Amazing news! That’s such a big step. Well done you! And I can totally sympathise. Before we started StyleHoney, I’d been freelancing as a writer for about 7 years. And in that first year, I learned A LOT! Work took over my life, as I just said yes to everything going. But I then also became a PHD in procrastination; not a great combo! Great to hear that you’re starting to figure it out though. An amazingly exciting time for you and I can’t wait to see how it all evolves over here on the blog x
I came across your blog recently and I have to say I really like your style, your website layout and your articles. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I recently started blogging myself, but I do it a hobby and because I love clothes. But you are right - it can take over your life and it can be hard to leave social media aside while spending time with our friends and family. I would love to hear more about your daily life as a blogger.
